The design and build fit out of Stapleton House allowed this global network provider to centralise its EMEA operations and upgrade its training and laboratory facilities. The building remained fully occupied whilst the 2nd floor was fitted out into four distinct areas with technical, teaching, office and reception areas. A window was adapted at high level to facilitate the ingress and egress of equipment to service the laboratories and server, Webex and conference rooms within the technical areas. Ciena’s successful relocation into Stapleton House allowed Skansen to refurbish the 5th Floor of their Worship Street office, providing a new customer focused Executive Suite and improved staff welfare facilities.

338 Euston Road, London
Skansen recently completed the 9,000sq.ft fit out on the 7th Floor of Euston Road, creating a new high quality West End office for Broadgate Estates. In line with the Client’s comprehensive CSR policy, this project was Ska Rated by Skansen’s in-house accredited assessors, achieving a bronze certification through the recycling and reuse of existing building components and careful selection of new materials.
Working within this occupied building, Skansen coordinated logistics and noisy working to ensure minimum disruption to the remaining tenants. A conditions survey of existing services installations was undertaken, identifying the necessary upgrade works to meet the requirements of Broadgate Estates.

Wells & More Building, London W1
Skansen has recently completed the 10,000sq.ft fit out in the Wells & More Building for Brown-Forman, a market world leader in the beverage industry. Skansen welcomed the opportunity to work with Cushman and Wakefield to deliver the bespoke facilities required by the Client, including a ‘Town Hall’ entertainment area with a bar, backlit glass and timber raft ceiling.
This fast track design and build fit out required detailed liaison with the US architect to deliver the required brand galleries in the boardroom and reception and bespoke vinyl graphic branded walls.

Sutton House, London EC1
Skansen were appointed to carry out the fit out of a newly completed 5 storey building for UNICEF’s new UK headquarters. A flexible executive suite of meeting rooms was formed on the ground floor by the creative use of sliding partitions. Each of the rooms contained full AV conferencing facilities, controlled by a central BMS and innovative use of graphics communicates UNICEF’s caring ethos to all those that visit the office.

40 Portman Square, London W1H
Skansen completed the 11,000sq.ft fit out of CoStar’s new European Headquarters, following the successful delivery of offices in Glasgow and London. CoStar’s strong corporate branding was a common theme throughout all 3 projects. Finishes were of very high standard, with bespoke joinery for kitchens, coat cupboards, copy points, recycling units, display units and meeting rooms. To add to the aesthetic impact, a number of floor finishes were fitted to contrast with the bold graphics applied to the seamless glazed partitions and state of the art audio visual equipment was installed to facilitate transatlantic conferencing. The focal point of the reception area was created with the use of a bespoke media wall, tracking CoStar’s real time property enquiries.

Quantum Q1, Norden Road, Maidenhead SL6
Following detailed assessment of space and services requirements for a number of shortlisted buildings, Skansen have recently completed the 27,000sq.ft design and build fit out for Compuware’s new UK headquarters. A leading global provider of software products and services, projection of Compuware’s strong brand identity was key. Bespoke manifestation, use of corporate colours and thought provoking murals, integrated with quality joinery and feature ceilings, delivered the strong company image. A dedicated IT system to CAT 6A structured cabling was used throughout and energy efficient direct cabinet cooling was utilised in the comms room to deliver available power efficiencies.

Skansen were appointed by Orange Business Services to provide an aesthetic and functional solution to enhance the existing meeting suite on the ground floor. The challenge was not only to create inspirational meeting space but also to incorporate a new canteen area. As a result of creative space planning and innovative design, Skansen and Edge Architecture & Design were able to provide a quality solution with a complete culture change to serving food within the office environment. The work was undertaken with the client in situ and with minimal disruption to their on going meeting requirements.

5th Floor, Bermondsey Square, London SE1
Following delivery of Munich Re’s City office in Aviva Tower, Skansen were appointed to provide the required facilities for their new division, Group Risk Services Ltd. Employed under a traditional form of contract, Skansen delivered the minimalist design, creating a high quality, efficient working environment for the 36 members of staff and associated managers. The client facing meeting rooms were constructed with high-rated dBA walls and feature ceilings to provide the level of privacy and confidentiality required by the business. On the successful completion of this project, Munich Re were welcomed into Skansen’s extensive portfolio of repeat business clients.

The fit out incorporated the creation of a reception, executive conference areas and the provision of a highly flexible open plan area for 100 staff with associated IT infrastructure.
