PSK Prout

Evolution House, Dagenham

Works incorporated the provision of 20,000sq.ft offices, within an occupied warehouse, onto a new mezzanine structure. The project also included the upgrade of mechanical services and installation of heavy electrical supplies to provide working environment for new print facility. Works required extensive coordination to ensure delivery within Client’s required timescales.

Hays Galleria, London SE1

PwC appointed Skansen to carry out the refurbishment and fit out of Hays Galleria to provide accommodation for the relocation of staff in order for their previous building to be demolished to make way for the Shard building and subsequently their move to MORE London in 2010. The scope of works included the delivery of the main reception, cellularised office and meeting rooms, open plan administrative space, local welfare and administration facilities and a basement cafe / restaurant. The £5.1 million project was successfully completed within the original 16 week period in accordance with the phased programme developed at the outset of the works.

Sea Containes House, London SE1

A refurbishment and fit out of the top floors of the iconic Sea Containers House. Works incorporated a strip to ‘shell and core’ prior to a comprehensive reconfiguration of M&E and W/C services. The Cat A & B fit out included new high quality bespoke joinery to the executive areas and office floors.

20-23 Premier Park, Park Royal, Harlesden, NW10

Skansen were delighted to join the RMG team in providing this flagship delivery office in line with their ‘Project Archer’ strategy of centralising existing West London delivery offices. The project entailed the conversion of 3 units into one large sorting centre with associated offices, WC / shower blocks, industrial canteen and kitchen, secure storage areas and the provision of specialist weighing and sorting machines. The fourth unit was converted into a “garage” for delivery vehicles. Key to project delivery was the effective management of site logistics and health and safety, particularly with the high level services installations, up to 11m in height, to provide adequate lighting and power distribution, new fire alarms, data, CCTV and security packages. Vast external works were also undertaken, re-developing the existing car parks into secure parking with new fencing, gates and access barriers to the perimeter. These works included forming a new car park in a dis-used railway siding, installing petrol interceptors, pump chambers and hydrobrakes, due to the site's proximity to the Grand Union Canal.

Great West Plaza, Brentford

Skansen were appointed by Barry Edwards of Vokins to carry out the upgrade and modernisation of Units 1 & 2, Great West Plaza. The scope included a highly resilient services installation to meet the Client’s business requirements. Successful delivery resulted in Vanco appointing Skansen to carry out the Phase 2 fit out of 28,000 sq.ft. at their London headquarters and the upgrade of their Brussels office.

Centralisation of this Global Insurance company’s property holdings, comprising 12 distinct companies and divisions, required the fit out of 55,000sq.ft in the City. Heavily IT oriented, the works were carried out in occupation over 3 phases to allow the Client to remain operational whilst integrating the migration of over 500 personnel from satellite offices.
