Croydon Magistrates’ Court A phased structural refurbishment at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on behalf of HMCS, in full occupation. The works included the conversion of magistrates’ courts into crown courts, prosecution areas into public waiting areas and family courts into magistrates’ courts, incorporating new lift shafts, staircases and secure access routes. Works also included public toilets and new DDA access and W/Cs. This required careful liaison with all departments in the building and the execution of noisy works outside working hours. Skansen also ensured the works complied with all the strict security parameters obviously required by the client.
