With the remaining floor in occupation, careful programming and logistics planning will ensure business continuity and the highest levels of health and safety.

Fit out of 12,000sq.ft of purpose built commercial space at Cambridge Business Park to accommodate Ernst & Young’s new regional offices and provide expansion space for continued growth.

Refurbishment comprising the formation of structural openings and the modification of original panelling of the Pensioners’ Club. Careful and extensive exploratory works ensured the structural modifications did not compromise the integrity of the 17th Century building. The installation of high quality joinery complemented the original panelling to deliver a revived environment within a historical setting.

The multi-tenanted building remained fully occupied whilst the 2nd floor was fitted out so as to provide distinct technical, teaching, office and reception areas.

Major refurbishment of Esher House to deliver Healix Group’s new headquarters building. The CAT A and integrated CAT B works consisted of new mechanical and electrical services to the air conditioning and lifts and the removal and replacement of the roof structure to incorporate a meeting room suite and staff relaxation area.

The design and build fit out of Stapleton House allowed this global network provider to centralise its EMEA operations and upgrade its training and laboratory facilities. The building remained fully occupied whilst the 2nd floor was fitted out into four distinct areas with technical, teaching, office and reception areas. A window was adapted at high level to facilitate the ingress and egress of equipment to service the laboratories and server, Webex and conference rooms within the technical areas. Ciena’s successful relocation into Stapleton House allowed Skansen to refurbish the 5th Floor of their Worship Street office, providing a new customer focused Executive Suite and improved staff welfare facilities.

Full CAT A refurbishment of the first to sixth floors of 10 Fetter Lane with basement and sub-basement works. Particular attention was given to maximising the floor to ceiling height. This was achieved by detailed coordination of the services, minimising the depth of zone required for installation.

Appointed to deliver Scholtès' new demonstration kitchen, Skansen faced the challenge of installing very high quality finishes into two floor plates of only 1,200sq ft a piece. Detailed co-ordination resulted in the installation of a new staircase, platform lift, toilets and shower into the existing structure. 

Refurbishment of 42,000sq.ft of office space in occupation at Ares House, South Ruislip.

Consolidation of Priory Business Park, Bedford, to improve the quality and efficiencies of existing offices and laboratories.

Fit out of the third floor of 17 Hanover Square to accommodate the expansion of this international law firm and reconfiguration of the fourth floor to provide additional offices.

Internal refurbishment of the In-Pensioners Club to enable residents to relax in a more modern environment, complementing the original design ethos.

Skansen was appointed to carry out the enabling works prior to undertaking the CAT A refurbishment works. The building was stripped back to shell and core with all plant being removed and new riser openings being formed in the new existing slabs. The refurbishment works consisted of new mechanical and electrical services, installation of metal panned ceilings and raised access flooring to the offices, reconfiguration of toilets and the upgrade and provision of a double height reception area. The project received a Gold Ska Rating, achieving 82.5% of environmental good practice applicable within its design and delivery.

Fit out of Quantum Q1, Norden Road in Maidenhead following the completion of feasibility reviews on a shortlist of buildings in Maidenhead and Marlow.

Relocation of Ixia Technologies from 1 Globeside Marlow into new office space at Clarion House, Maidenhead.

Skansen recently completed the 9,000sq.ft fit out on the 7th Floor of Euston Road, creating a new high quality West End office for Broadgate Estates. In line with the Client’s comprehensive CSR policy, this project was Ska Rated by Skansen’s in-house accredited assessors, achieving a bronze certification through the recycling and reuse of existing building components and careful selection of new materials.

Skansen has recently completed the CAT A refurbishment of the 4th to 6th Floors of 55 Gracechurch Street, following appointment by CB Richard Ellis on behalf of Ropemaker Properties. The building remained fully operational whilst the reception was stripped out and refurbished with new finishes throughout, including the installation of a new glazed façade with revolving doors.
