Ska Rating Claims Global Industry Excellence Award at the CoreNet Global Awards in Dallas
Announced winners will compete for ultimate Global Innovator’s Awards this Autumn
The Ska Rating assessment, which was created to fill the void of environmental labeling of commercial fit-outs in the UK, has been named among the winners of the CoreNet Global Industry Excellence Awards, announced during the CoreNet Global Summit in Dallas.

Skansen and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors were jointly awarded for the development of the Ska Rating tool, which provides an assessment, benchmarking and decision-making tool for greener fit-out projects, following a nomination from CoreNet Global’s UK Chapter.

Paul Harrington, President of CoreNet Global’s UK Chapter and Real Estate Director at Pricewaterhouse Cooper, comments, “It is great to see a European project do so well in the global Industry Excellence Awards, and CoreNet Global’s UK Chapter is delighted to have nominated Skansen and RICS for focusing attention on a sustainable approach and measure for fit out projects.

“The system has created an effective tool that enables a sustainable measure for fit out projects to be considered alongside typical cost and programme decisions, providing a quick and simple way of assessing their environmental performance. It was important for it to be usable by even the smallest companies who have previously lacked the tools to do so easily & economically”.
