Skansen

 After 4 years in gestation led by RICS and Skansen, the Ska Rating was formally launched to the industry on 6th November 2009 by the RICS. As a founding development partner, Skansen are pleased to be one of the few organisations able to offer in house RICS Accredited Ska Assessors to provide expert guidance on environmental good practice during the pre-construction and construction phases of projects.

 Ska Rating performs a similar function for fit out and refurbishment projects as the BREEAM system provides for new-build schemes, and as such, allows developers and occupiers to make informed decisions to improve sustainability. Under the Ska Rating system, project managers and developers can determine the green performance of their project against up to 99 measures in areas such as energy use, waste and pollution, to achieve either a gold, silver or bronze rating.
